My Style
My training in psychology, nutrition, and exercise science facilitates a truly comprehensive wellness journey towards achieving a “Wholemind.” My therapeutic approach is practical and results-oriented, emphasizing active engagement and solution-focused dialogue - “doing" the therapy, rather than passively “going" to therapy.
This style is particularly effective for individuals in the Preparation and Action stages of change. I often incorporate practical tools, such as providing a “point of emphasis" or key takeaway as a “post-it note” at the end of sessions. This serves as a reminder for clients to apply what we've discussed outside of sessions and provides a focus for our next meeting.
I also use statistically validated assessments and screening tools to measure progress over time. I am dedicated to helping you achieve greater well-being and live a more fulfilling life. Contact me to schedule a free consultation!
Wholeminds Wellness Model
The Wholeminds Wellness Model, represented by the Shapes of Mind analogy, provides a structured framework for achieving congruence in your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
This model helps clients understand how their beliefs and behaviors impact their feelings in relation to their core values and needs. By identifying patterns of alignment and misalignment, individuals can make more intentional choices that support emotional well-being and overall life satisfaction.

Components
Feelings: The first signal that a value or need is unmet, like a check-engine light.
Values and Needs (Triangle Hole): From preferences and wants to non-negotiable needs. Each value or need (Triangle Hole) can vary in size (importance) and require congruent Triangle Pieces which aren’t just the same shape but also the same size, to establish a “wholemind”.
Incongruence (Squares and Circles): When beliefs and behaviors conflict with values and needs, they are depicted as Square or Circular shaped pieces to signify misalignment.
Congruence (Triangle-shaped Pieces): When Beliefs and Behaviors align with values and needs, they are represented as a triangle-shaped piece.
Locus of Control: Making sure that wellbeing isn’t dependent or conditional on someone else’s free will. Recognizing that congruent beliefs and behaviors are within an individual's control, allowing for intentional personal growth.
