FAQs

  • In my primary role as a Licensed Professional Counselor, I’m trained to explore contributing factors to problems from a holistic bio-psycho-social framework. My additional training as a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, NASM Certified Nutrition Coach, and NASM Weight Loss Specialist allows me to develop a more comprehensive mental health assessment. On your paperwork and during our first appointment, I will look for relevant contributing factors that may be impacting your challenges. We will work together to identify the quality of your diet/nutrition, sleep, exercise, and social connections.

When applicable, I can help you understand the role of nutrients and exercise, helping you establish practical tips/hacks/strategies to help you reach your wellness goals and develop new habits aligned with your values and needs.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to exercise, nutrition, or mental health. For example, someone who aspires to be a professional athlete may have different realistic goals than someone who wants to improve quality of life, prevent injuries, and reduce risk for major diseases. I am most passionate about finding a sustainable balance with high likelihood for adherence and life satisfaction.
